Loxwood book final place


Loxwood booked a place in the Division Two Cup final after at 2-0 victory over Rye United at Ringmer.

Former Horsham defender Eddie French broke the deadlock in a clash of the top two teams in the division.

French netted six minutes before half-time and victory was completed when top scorer Damon Aston added a second in the closing stages.

Loxwood will now play either Littlehampton or Clymping in the final on Good Friday. Those two meet on Thursday evening.

In division one of the County League, Rob Boddy scored twice in the final 20 minutes, including a late winner, as Shoreham won 3-2 away to Eastbourne United.

James Rhodes was also on target for the Musselmen while the home side twice equalised through James McKenzie and Steve Dalloway.
