John Maggs is to extend his reign as Horsham manager into an 11th season after agreeing a new contract with the club.
There had been speculation that the former Crawley boss would retire when his existing contract expired in the summer but he is staying on and will have responsiblity for developing the club's youth set-up as well as his responsibilities with the first team.
Maggs has been the most successful manager in the club's history. He has established the club in the Ryman League premier division and led them to the second round of the FA Cup three years ago.
Maggs said: "The challenge until we move into a home of our own is to maintain our present level of football but I feel fit enough and have the passion and enthusiasm to give the club further success."
Maggs will have a testimonial at the start of next season in recognition of his service to the club.
Hornets entertain league leaders Dartford at Gorings Mead tonight, 7.30pm kick off.
