LuaLua out for rest of the season

Kazenga LuaLua is unlikely to kick a ball for Albion again this season.

The on-loan winger was sent back to Newcastle United for a scan that revealed a moderate hamstring tear he sustained in the first half of Tuesday's 3-0 home victory over Brentford.

The damage is expected to sideline LuaLua for between six to eight weeks.

That is a real shame. Lets hope he's seen enough here to want to join us permanently in the summer.

It's a real shame but at least we have shown that we can win without him on Tuesday.
On the brightside I think we will be seeing him a lot more next season.

A real shame about Lua Lua although hopefully Poyet will see what is right under his nose and give Dean Cox a chance. He may need to be introduced to him first!

I feel sorry for the guy, he was enjoying himself here and the fans were enjoying him.
He has certainly made a contribution to the Albion getting away from the relegation zone.
We wish him a swift recovery and hope that if Gus still wants him, he will be back with the Albion.

A real impact loan signing - has been so few of them in recent years. Hope he is not one of those speed players who is prone to this sort of injury.

Nightmare! Step up to the plate Mr Cox. Will we see a different shape on Saturday though? Maybe Diego in an orthodox midfield. Who would have thought a Diego in the Blue and White Stripes.......... Let's hope we can buy Lua-Lua in the summer.

Disappointing as I thought he brought balance to the midfield and gave the opposition something to think about.

Chance for Carole now to show what he can do and justify his pay!

Weird that he's out for the season. The Argus said 2 weeks earlier on today?

Personally I'd be happy for us to go 4-4-2 now, With Forster and Murray up front. We looked so potent at the end of the game on Tuesday when nicholas Forster came on. Such a shame about Kazenga. Echo everyone elses comments about hoping he's back with us next season as a permanent signing.

Yes the best of luck to Kazenga for a swift and full recovery.

I have a thought about Dean Cox. I remember him making his full debut on one of the opening games of the season a few years ago and thought what a fantastic prospect.

But since then he seems not to have got any quicker at all. I think he should work and work on his pace.

I agree that 4-4-2 might be the option now, but it creates a nightmare of who to pick. Dicker has been superb in recent games i've thought. Navarro seems to be main choice. I've a feeling he'll stick to 4-5-1 with Cox given a go on the left and Forster to come on later.
