Worthing Thunder caved in after half-time to crash 113-70 on the long trip to BBL leaders Newcastle Eagles last night.
Thunder led 18-9 early on and were only 47-44 adrift at the half. However Eagles pulled away in the third and the Sussex side scored just seven points in a woeful fourth period.
Joe Chapman had eight three-pointers in his 26 for Newcastle and Charles Smith added 25.
Reggie Bratton, pictured, impressed in the first half for Thunder and finished with 25 points.
The only good news for Thunder was that play-off rivals Worcester also lost heavily, away to Sheffield, so made up no ground in the chase for a top-eight finish.
