Elliott Bennett added another super strike to his collection to put Albion on top in their friendly against Aberdeen today.
The Seagulls played some lovely stuff but were lacking a cutting edge until Bennett fired into the top corner from 25 yards in the 37th minute.
Albion were worthy of their 1-0 interval lead.
They dominated possession, with Radostin Kishishev pulling the strings in midfield.
Gordon Greer headed an early chance over but their best spell came around the goal, when Kishishev shot into the side-netting and Ashley Barnes had a volley saved.
For Aberdeen, new skipper Paul Hartley curled a free-kick over and then whipped in a super set-piece from which Rory McArdle glanced a header wide.
