Eastbourne Borough came from behind with nine men to draw 1-1 with Darlington at Priory Lane.
Borough looked on course for a third consecutive defeat when Neil Jenkins and Rikki Banks were sent off in the space of two minutes in the first half.
Jenkins went for a rash challenge on the edge of the area and Banks was dismissed for handling the ball outside his box - although Borough will have complaints about both decisions.
Matt Smart replaced Banks in goal and had to pick the ball out of his net two minutes before half-time when Chris Senior stooped to head home a cross from Paul Arnison.
Borough reorganised to a 3-4-1 formation and took the game to the visitors in the second half with a superb performance.
Smart made a brillaint save to deny Michael Smith in the 65th minute before Borough equalised with 20 minutes to go when Jamie Taylor headed home a Matt Crabb corner.
Darlington threw everything at Borough in the last ten minutes but could not break down the home side who claimed a well deserved point.
The game was watched by Chelsea captain John Terry who was supporting his brother Paul in the Darlington team.
