Useful run-out for Sandaza

Fran Sandaza has made his first appearance for Albion.

The Seagulls’ new Spanish striker played the first half of a reserve team friendly at Reading yesterday.

Goalkeeper Peter Brezovan and skipper Gordon Greer also had run-outs in the opening 45 minutes of the match at Reading’s Finchampstead training ground.

Brezovan made his comeback from a fractured wrist sustained in pre-season training, while Greer has just completed a three-match suspension.

The side also included recent midfield signing Liam Bridcutt and assistant manager Mauricio Taricco.

Albion’s first half equaliser in a 1-1 draw was scored from a free-kick by Taricco’s fellow Argentinian Cristian Baz.

Reading featured in their line-up Lee Hendrie, who had a loan spell with Albion last season, and ex-Seagull Ivar Ingimarsson.

The Icelandic defender headed the home team into an early lead on his return from a long-term hamstring injury.

Absolutely no depth to this story - just a rewording of what we knew aleady. Is Brezovan now fit for the weekend, was Sandaza any good / was he fit?, did Greer get sent off or was he substituted / was Chris Holroyd playing and if so did he remotely threaten to score or make a goal.
