Gary Dicker is back at The Amex and targeting a March comeback.
But the sidelined Albion midfielder today admitted he is facing the biggest mental test yet of his four-month recovery from a broken leg.
Dicker resumed running on Monday and is also doing some simple ballwork.
He reports no problems and said: “I feel fine, I feel strong and, although I felt a bit worried running for the first time, I’ve had no pain or reaction.
“There’s not really a schedule on my comeback but I’ve had no setbacks, touch wood.
“I’ll just build up the running and see how that goes. But hopefully I’ll be back playing next month. That’s my aim.”
Dicker has been working at The Amex with the club’s training pitches across the A27 frozen but admitted: “This is the hardest part I’ve had to deal with because you are so close.
“You just want to push yourself a bit more but this is the time you have just got to be a bit careful.
“Before that you feel a million miles away when you are in a cast.
“Once you get back on the grass you just want to play a game.”

Apparently the Premier League midfielder we are signing on loan is Razak of Man City.
Will be good to see Gary back.

Disagree that he wasn't sorely missed. Had we had Dicker over the last few months CMS would definitely have scored some goals. The results have flattered us and if it wasn't for Super Will Buckley, more people would be commenting on how much we have missed him. Great to see him nearly back. With Vicente and the new guy we're gonna suddenly be somewhat blessed creativity wise in the midfield.

Great news about GD but Gus needs to play either Vicente or Harley in midfield to unlock defences in final third where it matters. Harley and Vicente are the class we need.

Harley is pure class. Swansea bought him for a reason. He just needs time to settle. He's got pace and vision. He's certainly more of a future for us than Vicente. Given the latter's age and injury problems.
