Crawley sign replacement keeper

Crawley have signed Watford goalkeeper Rene Gilmartin on loan after Scott Shearer was ruled out for a significant period of time.

The 6ft 5in Gilmartin will go straight into the squad for Sunday's FA Cup fifth round tie at home to Premier League Stoke City.

First choice goalkeeper Shearer requires surgery on his right knee which he injured in the 4-2 defeat of Cheltenham last week.

To the Argus re Steve Evans;

I have posted two commentson this site this week as there is a growing campaign in football against Steve Evans for his weekly berrating of opposing team players during a game and his constant abuse of the fourth official and his constant intimidation of the opposing teams technical area but you have removed my comments.

Yes Evans may have done well into getting Crawley where they are but the growing campaign against Evans is growing nationally and after his antics on tuesday night against Swindon Town the campaign is now picking up speed as Evans is the most unprofessional manager in football and i feel its a matter of time before he gets what is coming to him.

If you the Argus are proud of how he concucts himself and his unprofessional manner towards opposing teams players and management and the officials then Argus you seriously need to look at yourselves as well as Evans is the most hated manager in football for the antics on the sidelines.

If you remove these comments then obviously you are in full support of what Evans stands for. I can tell you now if Crawley get promoted to L1 i can tell you now L1 teams wont stand for what he does. He way be able to get away with it in the lower leagues but trust me there are bigger teams in L1 that wont stand for what he does and i feel his time is running out.

Sarah - i cant remember swearing on your site and apologise if i did but Evans has incensed me and alot of fans throught the country and he is a disgrace to football so perhaps all Crawley fans should read this about your Loved Manager Evans.

I make no bones i despise the guy and so do many fans for his total unprofessionalism.

So to all Crawley fans this is how your manager conducts himself during a game with his comments to your players as Evans was telling them to break Luke Rooneys leg constantly and when our assistant manager complained to the fourth official he was told he would be sent to the stand if he complained again.

Evans seems to say and do what he wants but other teams cant .

But we have been inundated by other clubs fans contacting us now who are bombarding the FA about Evans. Sunday will be interesting against Stoke City to see how Evans gets on with Tony Pulis on the line as well.

There is no smoke without fire - your manager could be a liability if things catch up with him.
He appears to be doing a good job with the team, but for what ever reason is using some horrible and evil gamesmanship tactics.
He has fallen out with countless opposition managers which does beg the question - why - there are other managers around who have the occasional spat - but this seems to be a weekly occurrence with your manager and his henchman.

I personally find him obnoxious and some kind of bully boy that uses his aggression and size to intimate players and officials.

I don't think the game needs this type of person and with his ethics.

At the same, good luck in your quest for promotion providing it is not at our cost.

Intimidate not intimate - bit of embarrassing typo blunder there ..oops

Mind you he did spend 20 mins with the referee after the game the other night, so perhaps not such a blunder. yuk ! Just the thought of it makes me cringe.
