Timo Lahti was the star of the show as Eastbourne took full points against Swindon tonight.

The Finnish reserve was paid for 18 points from seven rides as Eagles won 51-39 in Elite League action at Arlington.

He secured the win with a 5-1 alongside Cameron Woodward in heat 14, then helped Scott Nicholls clinch the bonus with another maximum in the nominated race.

Eagles conceded a 4-2 in heat one and trailed until Lewis Bridger and Lahti both passed Troy Batchelor for a 5-1 three races later.

Robins reserve Peter Kildemand won his first three races but seemed to be hindered by an ankle injury sustained in a crash with Bridger in heat 11.

Nicholls, guesting at No.1 for the hosts, was second in each of his first three rides but came good in heat 13 to beat Hans Andersen and preserve a four-point lead.

Lahti and Cameron Woodward, the latter pursued hard by Kildemand, wrapped up the win with a 5-1 in heat 14.

Then Lahti and Nicholls dominated heat 15 from the gate ahead of Andersen and Jason Doyle.

Fans and riders stood in silence ahead of tapes up to honour Lee Richardson, who rode for both clubs in a distinguished career. Richardson died after a racing crash in Poland last week.

A collection around the terraces during the meeting raised more than £2,000 for Richardson's family.

Mads Kornliussen of King's Lynn will guest for Eagles at No.1 as they go to Belle Vue for a rearranged meeting on Monday.
