Kerwood must wait to learn her Olympic fate
2:55pm Monday 28th May 2012 in Sport
Charlotte Kerwood
Sussex’s Charlotte Kerwood must wait to hear whether she has been selected to represent Team GB in the shooting at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
The British Olympic Association announced a team of ten athletes today for the Games but delayed their decision on the women’s Olympic Trap selection in which Kerwood, from Fletching, hopes to win a place.
It is believed an appeal to the sport’s governing body British Shooting by another contender for a place in the discipline has left Kerwood sweating on a place in the team.
Steve Scott has definitely not been selected. Scott, from Battle, was battling for a place in the Olympic Double Trap but misses out to Richard Faulds and current world number one Peter Wilson.
