  • "hi if we go back to the begof the season the team he played then were top of the league i think unbeaten in 16 matches, play those players who got us there, not bring in so called better players who cost a lot of money and have reputation, that wins nothing, the squad we started with played there heart out, give them all the same chance at the begining of this season, not these prima dona,s who only play for money,do that gus,and you,ll be top of the league again, nothing ventured ,tell these players agents to fly to the moon, and sell space, not old crocks."

Albion boss Gus Poyet has been made favourite by some bookies to fill the imminent managerial vacancy at Swansea City.

Poyet was last night being quoted as short as 7/4 to replace Brendan Rogers, whose move to Liverpool is likely to be completed today.

Blackpool manager Ian Holloway was Poyet’s closest rival in the betting.

Poyet recently insisted he was shrugging off speculation about his future, saying: “If you think about all that you forget about your job and I’m trying to get players in, that’s the main thing now.”
