New keeper coach for Albion
5:00pm Friday 22nd June 2012 in Sport By Andy Naylor
Andy Beasley, far right, during his time at Leeds
Albion have appointed Andy Beasley as goalkeeping coach in place of Tony Godden.
Beasley, 48, joins from Leeds where he spent six years as head goalkeeping coach until manager Simon Grason was sacked in February and worked previously with Seagulls chief Gus Poyet.
Beasley's playing career in the lower leagues included nine years with Mansfield.
Former West Brom stalwart Godden, 56, was appointed by Poyet's predecessor Russell Slade in February 2009 after Paul Crichton left for Norwich.

Out with the old and in with the new seems to be the order of the day. It's definitely the right direction and let's hope it doesn't stop there. I'll say no more!

Always amazes me that a goalkeeping coach is needed. If you don't know everything about goalkeeping by the time you are a professional then you shouldn't be here.
