With all due respect to Charlie Oatway Senior, signing someone from Sussex County Level? I don't wish to be mean, but would he have been signed if his dad wasn't coach? I thought we'd become a lot more professional than this? Not really impressed by this news.
Ian Wright, 21 years old, striker for Dulwich Hamlet, Isthmian League.

Kevin Philips, 21 years old, striker for Baldock Town, Southern Football League.

Charlie Oatway, 20 years old, striker for East Preston, Sussex County League.

None of those look exciting do they?
You never know, they might work out though.
Sussex County Division 2 - Sussex County Division 1 - Conference South - Conference Prem.... Doesn't seem like much, but then League division 2 is only 4 levels below the Premiership!!! Have you ever watched County League football?
    Yes. I didn't see many 30 goal
    + strikers though.

But I would not say that he does not have the potential to do so, purely based on where he has played in the past, and who his Dad is."

Albion net goalgetter Charlie

Albion have added non-league goalgetter Charlie Oatway to their development squad.

Oatway, son of the club's first team coach of the same name, has agreed a one-year deal.

The 20-year-old scored 34 goals for East Preston last season as they won division two of the Sussex County League.
