Whitehawk have pulled off a coup with the signing of experienced defender Matt Lawrence.

The former Wycombe, Fulham, Millwall, Crystal Palace and Gillingham defender has signed for the Hawks ahead of their first ever season in Ryman premier.

Lawrence, 38, arrives with a wealth of experience having played more than 500 Football League games in a 16-year professional career.

He cost Millwall £200,000 in March 2000 and played for the Lions in the 2004 FA Cup final.
