Albion prospect to join Luton on loan
9:30am Friday 13th July 2012 in Sport By Andy Naylor
Yaser Kasim is going on loan
Albion have loaned out another of their development squad midfield prospects.
Yaser Kasim has agreed a six month move to Blue Square Bet premier outfit Luton Town.
It follows 18-year-old Jake Forster-Caskey's switch to League Two Oxford United until January after he signed a new three-year deal.
Kasim has joined the Hatters in search of regular first team football.
The 21-year-old Iraqi broke into Albion's senior side in the final game of the 2010-11 campaign at Notts County but has made only one substitute appearance since then, in the FA Cup against Wrexham in January.
Leon Redwood, another development squad player, is being linked with a move to Brentford after reportedly impressing on trial.
Meanwhile, Albion are poised to add Craig Inness from Swansea to their performance analysis staff.

Sorry if I sound somewhat synical, but is the Argus running out of news on the Albion--aka, no new signings in prospect and no new stories on Vicente----but have just checked and we had this story yesterday!!! Not exactly groundbreaking that we need to be told TWICE

Next rumour anyone, Paraguayan, Roque Santa Cruz?
Further rumours re- Liam Trotter about too. Miquel might be going to Barca on loan though.

The squad seems to be getting smaller with players going out on loan rather than coming in.
I notice rumours persist about Hoskins going to Bristol City. A pity if he goes without really having had a chance to prove himself. I assume Poyet would need to recruit 2 strikers if he leaves rather than just the one he is quoted as wanting. Santa Cruz might be an interesting option.
Can anybody (Captain Haddock, Farside, Seaguljoe, Alan Skinner, Rolivan etc) tell me who the holding midfielder type cover for Bridcutt now is in the squad ? Only possiblility that occurs to me is Calde. El Arb would imo be limited in that role.

We have obviously been having dialog with Man City, and with RSC being a Paraguayan, I am sure that there is some truth in the interest and enquiries from all sides.

I see that Michael Owen is quoted as saying: "Not being disrespectful when saying I wouldn’t play in The Championship. Always said I wouldn’t drop down the leagues like some have done."
Well that's good to read Michael because I for one, didn't want to see you pull on the stripes. I think your presence here would have been all about fanfare and distraction. I reckon Gus has a bit more sense than to bring you into the Amex under those circumstances. You really are a 'has-been', so you trot off into the sunset and play with your horses.
Oh by the way, I do find your comment somewhat disrespectful. If you haven't noticed, there is some pretty darned good football being played in the Championship.

I agree albionbloke, the Champ is a worthy league for any experienced older Prem surplus player stock.

As I understand it we are very actively seeking a player for that role though, so no worries yet.
