Albion stroll in the rain

Albion enjoyed a 3-0 friendly win over Worthing at rain-lashed Woodside Road this evening.

Adam El-Abd and Kazenga LuaLua fired home in the first half.

Lively young sub George Barker added the third on 77 minutes.

Albion rested several star players including Vicente , Tomasz Kuszczak and Wayne Bridge.

But they still sent out a strong line-up which dominated proceedings and gave Peter Brezovan a quiet, if wet, night in goal.

The best result for Worthing was a gate of 1,754 and a busy night at the bars as fans sought refuge from the bad weather.

Someone asked what was happening with Grant Hall. Well though still down as a Brighton player, he hasn't, I don't think played yet

Grant Hall had a trial at Spurs. Wikipedia says hes their player now and I have no reason to doubt it, especially seeing as he is not listed on the official site as our player

Also, lots of rumours surrounding Ross McCormack. I wonder if its speculation though? I have seen one or two rumours surrounding Beckford but I doubt that holds any water.

He plays on the wing and up front, so I wonder if we will have an all Scottish strike force or if it will be a swap deal? Time will tell!!

Nor does Vincelot appear as an Albion player on official site.

I think they are going to have to change sunny Worthing to wet Worthing, this game had a lot of first team fringe players getting soaked. It started to rain after 5 mins and didn’t stop till 5 mins after the final whistle. Brezovan had a couple of catches, the back four of Elphick, El-Abd, Calderon, and Vincelot were not troubled. Harley, Dicker and Sparrow pushed it around the middle, only Barker looked like he wanted to get the ball forward when he replaced Lua lua, who had his good moments, as he does. Agdestein and Barnes looked ready but had little service.

It's the "Agdestein and Barnes had little service" that continues to worry me rather but it's the next two games (or more probably one half in each when "proper" football without multiple substitutions is played) that will tell us more.
