Barker hails defensive show

Richie Barker insists there is room for improvement but he was delighted as Crawley went fourth in League One with a 1-0 win at home to Leyton Orient.

Nicky Ajose scored the only goal, his third matchwinner in as many starts for the club.

The Reds boss said: "The three points was pleasing, the performance wasn't particularly pleasing but for 46 games a season we are not going to 'out-football' everybody.

"If you are going to be successful you are going to have to win games in all different ways. Today we had to win a game with probably the only one or two bits of quality in the whole game.

"But defensively we were absolutely fantastic. The back five, six if you include Coops (Shaun Cooper) when he came on, were tremendous."
