Albion keeper called up by Poland
4:32pm Monday 3rd September 2012 in Sport By Andy Naylor
Tomasz Kuszczak's impressive start to his Albion career has earned him an international recall.
The former Manchester United keeper has been drafted into Poland's squad for World Cup qualifying games against Montenegro and Moldova.
Kuszczak, signed by the Seagulls in the summer, has made key saves and conceded only one goal from an opponent in open play in the first four Championship games.
The 30-year-old won the last of his ten senior caps for Poland two years ago.

Back 4 of John Gregory, Fossie, Lawro, Williams. Midfield inc Nobby Horton, Jimmy Case, Wardy up front, plus several others I can't remember. TK is the best keeper I can remember though.

Looking at some of the names noted by Clean Sheet however,Lawro, Fozzy, Jimmy Case and Nobby Horton would certainly make the current squad and probably most Premiership squads.

Anyway those were the days when tight shorts and passing back to the goalkeeper were legal. Different game now, much more professional.
It's as big a difference as between Perry Digweed and Tomasz Kuszsak.

As I said earlier, it's very subjective and comes down to opinion. What's for certain though is we have the makings of an excellent squad now and I believe it's the best time ever to be an Albion supporter. UTA
I don't think the team of the 70's or 80's would stand a chance against us. Football has changed so much since then. Never rated Foster, Stevens was much better.

The more internationals we have the bigger the club profile, the bigger the club profile the more good players will want to come to us. The more good players we get the more success we have, the more success we have the more internationals we will have. We are in an upward spiral, long may it continue.

And we will always be indebted to Dick Knight for keeping the club going in the dark days.

The info on the first page told of happenings dated back to 1880, I thought that odd. The artical went on to show a report by the Argus newspaper, I also thought that was odd.
It turned out that the newspaper and the team were located in Australia and the game wasn't football it was aussie rules football.
A spooky coincidence me thinks and both teams at one point or another were connected to bird names. Our Brighton, the seagulls, the aussie Brighton the penguins.

I hate the way the game's turned with all these foreigners everywhere. they're only here to grease their palms and most of them are sh*te..... sometimes I wish they'd never knocked down that Berlin wall, and never built the channel tunnel either.... in gusset we're a thick muppet

Back 4 of John Gregory, Fossie, Lawro, Williams. Midfield inc Nobby Horton, Jimmy Case, Wardy up front, plus several others I can't remember. TK is the best keeper I can remember though.

Terry Stanley. One of my Favourites was George Dalton broke his leg in a game you could here the crack all around the Goldstone.

Let's hope he can get those 11th and 12th caps now.
By the way, wasnt Harry Bloom Tony's uncle, not father?? 100% sure that's correct.

Congratulations to Tomasz on the recall. As Ballantrrae points out above, players could now genuinely see their international prospects enhanced rather than compromised by joining us (in some cases at least). Bodes well.
