Connolly and Bulman in as Reds make two changes
2:01pm Saturday 15th September 2012 in Sport By Steve Hollis
Mark Connolly and Dannie Bulman make their first league starts for four matches as Crawley take on Preston NE at Deepdale.
Connolly and Bulman come into the side in place of the suspended Hope Akpan and Josh Simpson as boss Richie Barker makes two changes from the team which lost 3-0 at home to Portsmouth last Sunday.
Connolly partners Kyle McFadzean in the centre of defence with Claude Davis still unavailable due to a thigh injury. Shaun Cooper, who played at centre back against Portsmouth, pushes into midfield alongside Bulman.
Sergio Torres is still sidelined after suffering a dead leg against Bolton in the Capital One Cup which means Scott Davies and Charlie Wassmer are among the substitutes for the first time in League One this season.
Preston: Stuckmann; Buchanan, Huntingdon, Cansdell-Sherriff, Wright; Monakana, Wroe, Welsh, Laird; Beavon, Sodje. Subs: Amoo, Byrom, Procter, Beardsley, King, Simonsen, Hayhurst.
Crawley: P Jones; Hunt, Connolly, McFadzean, Sadler; Adams, Bulman, Cooper, M Jones; Ajose, Alexander. Subs: Kuipers, Walsh, Wassmer, Davies, Neilson, Forte, Clarke.
