Tense at the end. We had four minutes of added time during which the ball bounced invitingly for Wood in foront of goal - but big Kuszczak came out and blocked the shot. Match-winning save.

Full-time

4:50pm

Four added minutes to raise home fans' hopes.

A reminder Millwall attacking their home end in this half.

Nice to see the live commentry back Thanks Argus

Just giving it a whirl, see how it goes.

4:39pm

4:39pm

The home goal came on 79 minutes after a high ball was delivered towards Henderson and Wood at the far post. No one got in a clean header but it fell for Wood to shoot home left-footed from a tight angle.

4:37pm

Millwall kept going with ten men - and Henderson was sent on as sub for Keogh to form a big double act with Wood.

4:27pm

Kuszczak can expect to get some stick now. Atmosphere getting pretty heated.

4:26pm

Millwall had a better little spell - but they  are now down to ten. Chris Taylor flicked out a boot as Kuszczak dived at his feet and has been red-carded.

4:19pm

Just had a period of Albion keep ball there which delighted the fans massed away to our left.

4:16pm

Was almost three when Barnes had a header cleared off the line by Trotter. Dicker's clever turn and cross created the chance. Milwall immediately countered from the clearance - and Dicker had sped back 50 yards to make an important tackle.

4:12pm

4:11pm

What a delighted scorer! Adam El-Abd made it 2-0 right in front of the 2,468 away fans. Orlandi delivered a corner he helped Buckley to win, Hammond challenged for the header and the ball bounced in front of El-Abd, who whacked it in right footed.

4:04pm

4:02pm

Play now under way again  - as is my 3min time lapse

4:02pm

Former Oldham winger Chris Taylor is on for central midfielder Wright.

4:01pm

Substitution confirmed - Calderon on for Bruno. Reason for change unconfirmed - but believe it is groin.

Clearly we need that second goal cushion.
How quick can you guys get news on CMS injury?

Probably have to wait until speaking to Poyet after the game.

3:59pm

Being told Calderon will replace Bruno (groin) for the second half.

3:50pm

3:48pm

Another scare right on HT and Kuszczak was decisive as he dived off his line to push the ball away during a scramble. Albion looked the classier side in the first half and Buckley should have got the second goal after rounding Forde. But Millwall are a long way from being a beaten side yet.

3:46pm

Half-time

3:46pm

3:45pm

Mackail-Smith left the field after that injury, limping off pretty sadly to replaced by Dicker. Kuszczak had a couple more saves to make as Millwall continued to push forward.

3:43pm

Plenty of boos for home midfielder Wright as he puts the ball out of play for Mackail-Smith to have treatment!

3:38pm

3:37pm

3:36pm

Buckley has been excellent but it seemed he had to score after getting away from keeper Forde. Left foot finish was not well struck and Lowry got back.

3:34pm

3:32pm

How often has John Terry had his name sung here by Millwall fans? They are trying to taunt Wayne Bridge. Albion fans reply: Bridgey for England!

3:28pm

Talking of 2-0 leads, Cardiff already have that at Palace. No serious goal threat here in the time since Barnes scored. Wood sent a tough half-volley chance comfortably over Kuszczak's bar as Millwall continued to give a it a real go.

3:26pm

3:23pm

A day for Albion to keep their heads and composure as much as anything. They certainly did that in the first 20 minutes.

3:21pm

3:20pm

3:20pm

3:20pm

As I was saying, Albion had already got the ball dwn and played a bit. The goal came on the 17th minute when Bruno ventured forward, Buckley got away down the right and his low cutback was fired in by the right foot of Barnes.

3:17pm

It was a frenetic start. Pretty clear Millwall see this as great chance to kick start their season and get a partisan support firmly onside. But glimpses of Albion's neat-passing football too.

3:11pm

3:10pm

Albion responded to that torrid start by playing some good football. Orlandi involved in the move from which Bridge had a shot well saved, then Buckley was just wide.

3:09pm

3:09pm

3:07pm

It has been a lively start. Bruno had to make a key defensive header very early and Kuszczak then produced a super reflex stop from Wood's header.

I gotta think Lopez gets some decent playing time today, prepare him for a start against Birmingham?

2:57pm

Teams out and Millwall fans stand to join in their club song. "Let 'em all come down to the Den!"

2:55pm

Those who remember John Shepherd's goalscoring feats might be interested to know his biography will be published later this year. No more details at the moment.

2:54pm

Kick-off nears. Former Millwall and Albion goal getter John Shepherd, now aged 80, has just been on the pitch to take the applause of the crowd.

2:51pm

David (Lopez (Moreno)) completes his warm up with a nonchalant 25 yard free-kick into the top corner past Ankergren.

I will stay here and I wish you good luck with this new venture.

Come out to Vegas in the closed season and I iwll buy you a beer.

Cheers. Like I say, we'll just see how it goes.

Remember going to the Old Den in the 1964/65 season. Lost 2-0 and was chased back to New Cross station by a hord of Millwall supporters. A load of our supporters ran along the railway line to get away from them.

No so happy days!!

We are a very good side and I would expect us to win this afternoon, 2-0.

Most infamous horror show here in recent years was surely the 3-0 Boxing Day defeat of 2007

2:30pm

Unusual to see away fans in the bottom tier as well as the top here at Millwall but Albion have managed it today.

Is the plan to give us text commentary, similar to that the BBC supplies?

Good morning Vegas. That is the general idea although I am subject to a 3min time lapse while the game is in progress. Hence I also point you towards our Twitter services. Just looking to give us some sort of in-game presence on our website. Will see how it develops - but I'm not naive enough to think people will depend purely on this to know if Albion have scored.

2:18pm

1:45pm

Three former Albion loanees likely to feature in the Millwall 18 today - Darius Henderson, Therry Racon and the recently arrived Chris Wood.

1:43pm

1:37pm

I'm running this feature as something of a trial basis today. If it goes well will come up with a few ideas to pass the time ahead of kick-off. I'm only planning to do the updates for Saturday games - deadlines for the paper are too tight at evening and even Sunday afternoon matches.

Welcome to our Albion updates service from The Den. We await team news but Albion not expected to make many alterations from the side which grafted to a 1-0 win at Watford in midweek.

Define, 'many,'

If two changes that's twenty percent of the outfield players.
