Thanks for following. Keep an eye on this website for reaction to today's game.
Hasn't quite happened for Dobbie tonight. He needs more game time. #bhafc— @AndyNaylorArgus 29 September 2012
So the lights go out on Albion's impressive Amex form. #bhafc— @AndyNaylorArgus 29 September 2012
Albion being clapped off by quite a few fans - but they lacked that cutting edge today.
Full-time - Albion go down 1-0
Five minutes were added on.
No doubt Albion have missed the bustling energy up top of CMS. #bhafc— @AndyNaylorArgus 29 September 2012
LuaLua surely hould have a free-kick just outside the box. Appeals were waved away and there was uproar on the home bench. But no sign of an equaliser.
LuaLua causing problems. Birmingham not sure what he is going to do - and neither is he! #bhafc— @AndyNaylorArgus 29 September 2012
One effort on goal from Albion so far and that was a tame header from El-Abd. That is how well Birmingham have kept them at bay. #bhafc— @AndyNaylorArgus 29 September 2012
Birmingham sent on Redmond to add potential counter attack threat while Albion brought off Buckley, who had switched to the left, and sent on LuaLua. That Albion change came on 72 minutes as the hosts continued to push forward without really testing Butland.
All Albion 2nd half but final ball lacking. Birmingham still defending with diligence. LuaLua time. #bhafc— @AndyNaylorArgus 29 September 2012
Elliott was booked for clattering into Bridge. Lopez playing almost as an inside right with room for Calderon to get up outside him.
Surprising sub on 61 as Lopez replaces El-Abd. Hammond moves into defence. Albion piling on plenty of pressure and winning corners but not testing Butland.
Just offered you a tweet from West Midlands radio.
Wayne Bridge flashes a dangerous cross into the box but no-one on the end of it. Brighton look the better side after the long interval— @sportbbcwm 29 September 2012
RT @OfficialBHAFC: RT @OfficialBHAFC: Crowd of 26,121 at the Amex tonight for the Birmingham game, with 1,111 in the away end. Another fantastic effort fro ...— @AndyNaylorArgus 29 September 2012
Two more dangerous crosses from Bridge. He has been excellent again. #bhafc— @AndyNaylorArgus 29 September 2012
More energy about Albion now. Bridge got to the byline after a great pass by Dicker and his low driven cross almost deflected in.
The long interlude actually got the fans singing. Good noise as second half got under way with Albion attacking the North Stand. But they made a terrible mess of an early corner.
Second half under way
Both teams warming up and light close to normal now. Looks like play will resume soon.
Birmingham return for a warm-up. Looks like light is gradually being restored.
No talk about a dim display please. Don't like sound of latest announcement. "Please bear with us, trying to resolve the situation." #bhafc— @AndyNaylorArgus 29 September 2012
Plenty for GP to ponder. Main injection option on the bench LuaLua. #bhafc— @AndyNaylorArgus 29 September 2012
HT: As expected Birmingham have been compact, solid and robust. Burke's wonder goal gives them the advantage at half-time. #BHAFC 0 #BCFC 1— @OfficialBHAFC 29 September 2012
Albion missing Mackail-Smith. Less tempo about their game today.

Why isn't Gus playing Barnes up front and Dobbie behind him? Barnes is on the wing!! Everybody but Gus knows that Dobbie is NOT a striker. He needs someone to play off.
We are being told the teams will be out shortly.
The two sets of subs continue to warm up on the pitch.
Everthing else is working - other lights around the stadium, the two big screens, PA system, etc. But floodlights suddenly went out.
Looks like we will have an extended interval after the floodlights went out during half-time.
A solid job by Birmingham in the first half topped off by a very good finish.
Birmingham were on a low ebb coming here but you can see them grow in confidence as the half wears on.
Test of Albion's promotion credentials here, not going according to plan at home where they are so strong. #bhafc— @AndyNaylorArgus 29 September 2012
Visitors well organised and keeping Albion at arm's length. Big ask though for them to keep it that way for another hour. #bhafc— @AndyNaylorArgus 29 September 2012
Good professional job by Birmingham so far.
El-Abd also failed to make proper contact - this time on a header - when it seemed he could score.
Burke goal was bad news for Albion of course but it has done wonders for the match and the atmosphere.
...although Blues got Lita in on goal and he scuffed his shot when should have scored.
The goal certainly lifted the noise levels and Albion had a squall of pressure straight after it....
Birmingham ahead on 27 minutes with a terrific cleanly struck volley by Burke from about five yards outside the box. It looked like Kuszczak got a slight touch but not enough to keep it out.
Colin Tattum, whose tweets I am using here from time to time, is the Blues reporter on the Birmingham Mail.
with Elliott pushing onto sitting midfielder Bridcutt #bcfc making it tough for Brighton without having to turn it into a war 0-0, 23 min— @colintattum 29 September 2012
Robinson leaves Calderon on deck with late crunching challenge. No booking. Brighton struggling to break #bcfc down, tempo from them slow— @colintattum 29 September 2012
Good test of patience developing, for both players and supporters. Dobbie just wide from 25 yds. #bhafc— @AndyNaylorArgus 29 September 2012
Visitors will be happy to have kept Albion quiet so far. Clark clapping when they press high. #bhafc— @AndyNaylorArgus 29 September 2012
Quiet first 15 minutes. Albion with plenty of possesion but will ave to be patient and precise to work their way through.
Birmingham, for all their injury problems, have a strong-looking bench. #bhafc— @AndyNaylorArgus 29 September 2012
Early excitement with that first-minute corner but the game settled into a more even affair after that in first ten minutes. One great bit of defending by Bridge when it seemed Burke might get away.
Buckley has freedom to roam from wing to wing but will start on the right against newly signed Robinson. #bhafc— @Brian__Owen 29 September 2012
Dobbie central, Barnes left. #bhafc— @AndyNaylorArgus 29 September 2012
Birmingham 4-5-1. Lita alone up top. #bhafc— @AndyNaylorArgus 29 September 2012
Calderon had a shot blocked inside the box in the frst minute from an Albion corner as they play towards the South Stand. Buckley being invited to run at newly-acquired Blues left-back Robinson.
Good time for a reminder that, while the game is actually in progress, I am subject to a three-minute time delay on this service. That does not apply to our Twitter feeds @AndyNaylorArgus and @Brian__Owen
Pre-match rituals are just about complete. Bruno and Vicente having a quick catch-up with their former Valencia colleague Zigic down by the benches.
Not a big following from Birmingham. And Albion have not sold all the tickets Blues would have returned. So there will empty seats right behind the South Stand goal. But looking just about full apart from that.
big evening for both full-backs: Packwood returns, Robinson first competitive match since April #bcfc him v Buckley be fascinating battle— @colintattum 29 September 2012
For those of you wondering about the origins of today's ref Ollie Langford (West Midlands), he comes from Wednesbury which, I believe I am right in saying, is on the road between West Brom and Wolverhampton.
Albion will still be top regardless of result - unless it is an improbable home defeat on scale of Birmingham's last week! #bhafc— @AndyNaylorArgus 29 September 2012
Thrilling 3-2 win for Watford at Huddersfield keeps Albion top - but arguably the more significant news was the continuing progress of Cardiff and Wolves.
Very off-topic but I can tell you Peacehaven have won 1-0 at Selsey - never an easy place to go.

Jonathan Mouette says
Somewhat surprised Crofts hasn't even made it to the bench - hopefully we will see him in the squad on Tuesday.
Just been working on our team news story which is now online. Teams are now out warming up as the crowd builds up slowly.
Looks like Hayden Mullins and Marlon King failed to fully recover from midweek illness. Leroy Lita leads the attack for Blues.
Birmingham: Butland, Packwood, Robinson, Davies, Caldwell, Burke, Spector, Fahey, Elliott, Lovenkrands, Lita.
Albion go Kuszczak; Calderon, Greer, El-Abd, Bridge; Bridcutt, Dicker, Hammond; Barnes, Buckley, Dobbie. Subs: Ankergren, Painter, Dunk, David, Harley, LuaLua, Agdestein.
Watford's equaliser at Huddersfield means none of the teams who could have gone above Albion are winning. #bhafc— @AndyNaylorArgus 29 September 2012
Cardiff and Wolves moving level with the Seagulls on 16pts as things stand.
Thought I would post an early tweet from colleague Andy Naylor, chief sports writer at The Argus. You can follow Andy on Twitter @AndyNaylorArgus. I'm @Brian__Owen and our snapper Simon Dack is @SimonDackPix
Quick thought on Blackburn. Not keen on the manager change. Might be bad for rest of the Championship, including Albion. #bhafc— @AndyNaylorArgus 29 September 2012
Right, let's this get this started. Been here for ages! Albion v Birmingham City. There will be changes for the hosts with Mackail-Smith and Bruno expected to miss out through injury.
