Barker: We rode our luck

Boss Richie Barker admitted Crawley rode their luck during their 2-0 victory at Carlisle United.

Reds were second best during the first half but returned from Cumbria with all three points thanks to second half goals from Nathan Byrne and Nicky Adams.

The result lifted Reds up to seventh in League One and ended a run of three games without a win.

Barker said: "It was not the best performance. We didn't play a great deal of football but if you are going to be successful you sometimes have to win games when you are not at your best.

"We rode our luck slightly in both boxes but I also felt we had enough chances to score four or five goals.

"We are hanging on in there (in the play-off zone). We need to try to stay in and around the pack but it is still very early and we are certainly not getting carried away."

Richie has got most of his comments bang on but to say that we diddnt play a lot of football is slightly unjust. I am no expert from the the stand I thought we stroked the ball around quite well for some of the first half and most of the 2nd. Our first goal was a stunner.

Keep going boys, the fans are with you and are looking forward to Brentford !
