Tubbs on the bench for return to Crawley

Matt Tubbs is only among the substitutes for his first return to Crawley tonight since his move to Bournemouth in January.

The former Reds striker was hoping to make only his third start of the season but Cherries boss has opted for Lee Barnard and Frank Demouge up front.

Crawley manager Richie Barker has named an unchanged side from the one which won 2-1 at Carlisle on Saturday.

Claude Davis is fit to continue in the centre of defence despite an ongoing thigh injury but Kyle McFadzean and Shaun Cooper remain sidelined.

It means Cooper misses a reunion against the club he made more than 200 appearances for over seven years.

Bournemouth make three changes to the side which lost 2-1 at home to Walsall at the weekend with former Albion defender Tommy Elphick receiving a recall.

Scotland international Richard Hughes has also recovered from injury to return in midfield along with Josh Carmichael.

Cherries also feature Eunan O'Kane who came close to joining Crawley in the summer from Torquay while another transfer target, Lewis Grabban, is on the bench.

Crawley (4-4-2): P Jones; Byrne, Davis, Walsh, Sadler; M Jones, Simpson, Akpan, Adams; Ajose, Alexander. Subs: Kuipers, Connolly, Hunt, Torres, Bulman, Clarke, Forte.

Bournemouth (4-4-2): James; Zubar, Elphick, Addison, Daniels; O'Kane, Hughes, Davids, Carmichael; Demouge, Barnard. Subs: Jalal, Cook, Partington, Fogden, Tubbs, Grabban, Fletcher.
