LuaLua must step it up

Kazenga LuaLua wants to improve on his midweek performance
Kazenga LuaLua has admitted he must up his game for Albion.
LuaLua was disappointed with his performance in Tuesday’s 1-1 home draw against Ipswich.
The winger is sweating on a chance to make amends against Derby County at Pride Park today.
LuaLua told The Argus: “It was nice to start but I don’t think I played well. It wasn’t the performance I was expecting. I need to improve.
“I don’t know why it went like that. I’m trying to do my best.
“You can try for the team but sometimes it doesn’t work and on Tuesday it didn’t work for me. Hopefully next time I have to put it right.
“It was my second start of the season but when you get a chance you have to improve. It didn’t happen on Tuesday, so hopefully if I start again or don’t start and come on I have to make something happen in the game.”
Hamstring stiffness restricted wing rival Will Buckley to the substitute’s bench against Ipswich but he came on to score Albion’s equaliser.
LuaLua also has competition for a place in the team from Spaniard Andrea Orlandi, who was signed on deadline day from Swansea following Craig Noone’s move to Cardiff.
LuaLua said: “It has changed things, Nooney leaving for Cardiff, but we’ve still got Bucker and me. Orlandi can play on the left as well, so there is still competition on the left wing. If you get a chance then you have to take it.
“Orlandi was brilliant in the first half the other night and Bucker is doing well at the moment. Every time he plays he is making things happen and scoring goals. He is playing well for the team, which is important.”

Yes KLL you have a lot of potential, and can be a game changer. I don't think we have seen the best of you yet, and look forward to doing so.
Lua Lua must harness his impressive pace to fulfill potential, and for the benefit of older folllowers not become another David Armstrong - a player who simply could not 'convert' his pace into an end product.

I miss Lua lua's burst of speed past the last defender. I miss the way he used to cut inside and shoot from the edge of the box. I miss the somersault goal celebration. I like the way he can still take on and beat players to get to the byline, but he really needs to put a better ball in away from the keeper - not much chance of beating the keeper from there. He needs to work on working with the players around him to open up the space - one-twos, wall passes, etc. Here's hoping for 3 points today!!

I think Lua Lua is ring rusty and nothing more. It might be that he will always be our super sub but if he comes off the bench and scores that will do for me. Remember Liverpool's Fairclough?

I don't like the term ring rusty, it sounds a bit dodgy.
