Bruno beaten to award

Albion right-back Bruno has been pipped to the Championship player of the month award.

Former Seagulls striker Glenn Murray won the September prize after scoring six goals for Crystal Palace.

Bruno and Leicester defender Wes Morgan were among the three players shortlisted for the accolade.

Ex-Albion boss Micky Adams, back in Brighton today for Charlie Oatway's Lunch Of Legends, won the manager of the month award in League Two for his work in charge of Port Vale.

Glenn Murray is a player that was excellent for us and in my mind is sorely missed. He is far from just a tap in specialist and penalty taker. I would have liked Bruno to win the award due to his outstanding displays for us thus far but I for one am happy GM is doing well. I just wish he was still making the difference with us. Onwards and upwards.

Rearrange these words girls 'grapes, sour'

Normal service has resumed, so enjoy looking up at the table at us and I am thoroughly looking forward to another three points and further liberties taken when we come down to yours again.

Letting GM go at the time was mad - we have not replaced him and have spent 18 months trying to get a similar player - would Soton have let Lambert go or Norwich have let Holt go straight after getting promotion - of course not.
This just further highlights the striker fiasco at the Albion. We have the best defence in Championship and probably thje best midfield if everyone fit but possibily the weakest striker force.

Shame you dont have the money, infrastructure or ambition to capitalise on your recent lucky run. When you come to the Amex you will see further improvements and capacity to our stunning stadium, a much improved team and 3 less points than you left with last season.

You don't need money when you can pick up players like Glenn Murray for free. Also it was 3 penalties not 4.

Come on guys, as Albion supporters, show some good grace: with some humility and generosity.

Glenn showed his humility and professionalism by not celebrating after scoring agaist us, last season.

Have the decency just to say: "Well done Glenn." And leave it at that.

I think Palace might end up doing us favors as the season goes on, a Murray goal might be all it takes to get Brighton promoted.
Congrats to Murray and Bruno is getting better and better, his day will come..

You seem to forget that Glenn Murray wanted to go.
Anyway, it's only early October, by the end of the season this little award will matter not a jot, and Albion will be heading for higher levels. Murray's side on the other hand, will be settling back to the lower half of the league again.
The striker situation is not a fiasco. We simply will not take just anyone to fill the spot, and rightly so.
Hurry back Will Hoskins!

I sincerely hope you are 100% right but I very much doubt it. I judge that without extra strike power its going to be a long hard season and not what the tremendous fans of BHA deserve. Fingers crossed I am wrong but lets be very clear Gus Poyet has said for 18 months we desperately need reinforcement up front and it has not happened.

When you have a youth academy as good as ours, there is no requirement to pay average players, over inflated wages. We've already been to Amex, we had a lovely evening, completely outsung your support and played your team off of the park. We scored three, you scored one and you already know
the rest of the song.

And your point is..?

Seriously though, Palace got the better of Albion that day, no complaints.

It's great that both teams are where they are, and we should have two great matches to enjoy this season. The best of yours against the best of ours - just as it should be. Then we'll all have to wait and see where each team ends up (and just how far below us Palace are...)

Maybe they should think about ground-sharing with their 'B' team down the road in Scrawley? They deserve each other.

Oh how sweet...the Nigels have dropped in for a cuppa! Haha. Celebrating FFS Murray's tap-ins in September is all you'll be getting this season chickens, apart from ruination home and away vs your friendly Sussex neighbours. You only outsung us at The Amex after the game turned....and it wasn't as loud as we were at Smellhurst for that delicious 0-1 win. Remember. Your faces were a picture as Clinton Morrison converted the offside goal and you celebrated as if yiud won the cup final. We'd clocked the flag early enough to enjoy the whole scene. Cheers for that. Happy memories.

Are you implying that you only sing when your winning, Haddock? Your fans were marginally better than your team that evening. Dream on regarding beating us this season.

No both sets of fans sing fine but both sing better when winning (naturally).

I happen to believe we sing louder when winning than you do though its hard to be sure as I'm always at the derby matches and as you know if there's decent noise in your end of the ground you can't hear the opposition.

Stick around you Nigels....will be a bit of fun in the run up to our Dec match...only a few weeks to go!

(Oh and we WILL beat you...my guess is 4 pts out of 6...revenge!)

We sing louder because we get an average home gate of 25,000, compared to their pitiful 13,000. Awful attendance, but I guess there are much more attractive sides and venues available.
