Somebody is going to get hurt admits ruthless Poyet

Will Buckley is battling for a return to action
ALBION boss Gus Poyet is ready for a player revolt over his team selection for tomorrow’s visit by Middlesbrough.
All eight of Poyet’s summer signings are available at the same time for the first time, with Andrew Crofts fit again following hamstring trouble.
Craig Mackail-Smith and Will Buckley are also back in contention after similar injuries, so Poyet has some big decisions to make resuming from the international break and he is expecting to upset somebody.
He told The Argus: “Someone is going to be out of the squad who is probably not expecting it and not going to be very happy about it but that’s what happens when you have a full squad ready to play a game.
“We are going to base our decision just to win this game, nothing to do with the next one (Tuesday at Leicester) or two weeks ago.
“Deano (Dean Hammond) and Crofty haven’t been fit at the same time, so this is going to be the first time they are competing to play in the middle.
“(Stephen) Dobbie was here but it was his first games when Macca (Craig Mackail-Smith) then got injured, so there are options.
“I think David Lopez proved what he is going to give us with Bruno on the right side, which is a great option as well. I don’t want to make too many changes but at the same time I am going to base everything on your performance.
“For me it’s perfect. I know somebody is going to get hurt, some player is going to get very upset, but for me as a manager it’s perfect. I prefer this, to be making decisions which you think are going to be best for the team. It’s more responsibility, which I like.”

Very interesting. Maybe theres a temptation to drop Ash and play Dobbie behind Cms. In Gus we trust. UTA

Perhaps it will be Dobbie behind CMS, with Orlandi providing the width?
Perhaps Barnes will miss out altogether, and that is the real message being given here?
Whatever the formation and team, thank goodness yet another break is over and we can get back to watching the team that really matters.

I think the back 5 plus Bridcutt and CMS are nailed on to start. The rest, who knows? Just hope Gus does. It seems so long since I saw a game, really looking forward to tomorrow. UTA

BUT based on performance ( I am not privy to training sessions and I wasn't at Derby), I would guess (and agree) that Hammond and Barnes are most at risk, along with Lua Lua. Maybe we'll see a tweak in the formation. I understand that Derby was more of a 4-2-3-1 (which sort of harks back to last season, Navarro et al). Whatever happens, the true test of this team will be coming back from a goal down (which hopefully won't be necessary tomorrow). If we score first we are very good at retaining possession and using the space. If we don't, we're not so great at using possession to create space (and chances). If teams are attacking us, all will be well... But digging results out from a negative position is the trick which will see us stand or remain mid table. We have a wealth of potential creative geniuses, time to step up guys… I'd like to see us take a few more risks in the right areas. The safe ball is fine in our own half but we are a bit predictable. The much maligned Vicente can take out two players with nonchalant ease and a flick of his ego. Time to show some flair guys, time to show some flair.

I am pretty sure that Barnes lost the edge to his game worrying about his yellow card count during the absense of CMS. Whilst I think he showed great self dicipline to ensure that he didn't pick up a ban I feel he might lose out now we are back to full strength.
From what I have read Lopez did enough to show why he was signed, Gus would be hard pressed not to start him on saturday.
Dobbie working with CMS must be tempting for Gus. I think just as we had to wait for CMS to find the net and then watched as his goal count mounted up, Dobbie could be the same, he just needs that first one.
If Middlesborough come to the Amex with the same game plan as others, defend in numbers and try to hit us on the break, then the more players we have on the park that can score the better, I would put Hammond in both for his potential goal scoring threat and his ability to defend when called upon.

Open comment to Gus : ATTACK from the start not after a dull hour and we go one down AND stop putting on a sub at EXACTLY 60 mins, you don't have to you know?

Marcos Painters height is shown as 6 ft,whilst Lua Lua shows 5ft 11 ins,Ashely Barnes 6ft 1 in,Wayne Bridge 5ft 11ins,the only one they seem to have got about right is Liam Bridcutt shown as 5ft 7in. I think these false stats must be to put fear into opposing teams, although it didntdo much good when a shorter Ricky Lambert outjumped 6ft Marcos last season at Soutampton.LOL.
