Albion head to Selhurst Park today knowing anything could happen at the home of their rivals.

Their three trips to the home of the Eagles in the last 20 years have brought a humbling defeat, a famous win and a roller coaster of a draw.

Paul McShane headed the only goal in October 2005 as Albion – bottom of the Championship at kick-off – won 1-0.

McShane made his home Palace debut in January last season, on loan from Hull, as they shared a 1-1 draw with the Seagulls.

Former Eagles favourite Simon Rodger was also a debutant against his old club when Albion went to Selhurst Park ten years ago.

That was the day they wore an ugly combination of black shirts and white shorts and suffered an even uglier result as Andy Johnson’s hat-trick led Palace to a 5-0 win.

The Eagles are unbeaten in the last three derbies home and away.
