Albion and Crawley face Premier League opposition in FA Cup
2:56pm Sunday 2nd December 2012 in Albion By Andy Naylor
Albion and Crawley landed plum home ties in the FA Cup third round draw.
But Hastings missed out on a glamour incentive to win their replay against Harrogate.
Albion entertain Newcastle at The Amex for the second season running after knocking them out 1-0 in the fourth round last year with a late Will Buckley goal.
Crawley's reward for seeing off Chelmsford in round two is a visit from Premier League strugglers Reading.
Hastings have another long trip to Albion's Championship rivals Middlesbrough if they get past Harrogate in their home replay following yesterday's 1-1 draw in Yorkshire.
The ties will be played on January 5 and 6.

No Selhurst park is a dump but a very good hard working side will be playing prem-league football there next season.Stop looking at things with your blue & white glasses on & watch the game back again if can on player.Watch what happens when we get a free kick,or more to the point how little does happen. You will see Poyet & Oatway do very little work on the training ground.

The Newcastle game will be a chance to give others a chance whilst calling on the bulk of out regular starting eleven.
Decisions were made to let this player go or bring that player in and in part some of those decisions were guided by the board, wage caps for instance.
Brighton would appear to have three or four decent youngsters, players that I hope get their chance against Newcastle, not for the last twenty minutes but from the get go, we don't, 'have,' to win this game.
I hope that both Gus and the board have learned from the past and have, or will very shortly, signed the young players on a contract good enough to keep them.
You and I are not privy to any conversations that might take place between Gus and the board, neither now or in the recent past. Is it possible that Gus has been told that he can't spend more than a rigid budget given to him, yes. Is it possible that Gus wanted the wage cap raised or lifted for certain players, yes. It is also possible that Gus had a free hand and bought the players he wanted and money was not a stumbling block, but I doubt that.
January is the next opportunity to buy and sell but it's also the opportunity to let the young lads have at it with Newcastle, who knows, we might not need to buy untill the end of the season if the lads deliver..

Albion v Premier League Newcastle Utd in the 3rd Round of the FA Cup. Should be a great match in front of a full house at the Amex. So why am I not excited and filled with 'can't wait' enthusiasm? Is it the cost just after Christmas? Is it the Amex has made matches against big teams no different to any other? Has the FA Cup lost it's magic or does The Championship just matter more?

Saturday cost me 3 tickets £36.00, 2 Pies ,1 Hot Dog ,1 beer,2 Pepsi = £19.00.I will take a pack lunch next time and some pills to stop me feeling sick at the display we put on.At those prices we could afford a coach that does not have a long nose.

The Naz-Car race held each year here in Vegas takes about two and a half to complete, maybe two and a half hours if there are a lot of crashes.
Wth drinks and snack food costs added to the ticket price, yes we have bag check too, my total bill in in excess of $400.00.
The deal at the Amex sounds good to me.
