England under 21's playing at The Amex

The Argus: The Amex will be playing host to England's under 21's The Amex will be playing host to England's under 21's

Albion are hosting an England under 21 international next month.

It follows the successful staging at The Amex of an England under 19's game against Denmark in November 2011.

The opponents and date of the friendly will be confirmed tomorrow.

The fixture will be an important part of the build-up for Stuart Pearce's side to the European Championships in Israel in the summer.

Tom Ince, related to Albion's new development squad signing Rohan Ince, scored twice in a 4-0 friendly victory for Pearce's Young Lions against Sweden on Tuesday.

Hopefully, reasonable pricing strategy to encourange a decent fan turnout. £10 adult, £5 kids should do it.

Further proof, if indeed any were needed, that the club has been elevated into the big time. And it's all thanks to those with the vision and commitment to the cause in those recent dark days. Fortunately, one of those visionaries was Tony Bloom. Without him, the Albion we know and love today would have remained just that - a vision in so many mind's eyes.

And I cannot see it being that long before a FULL England international is staged there, along with I hope the soon to be announced venues for the 2015 Rugby world cup.

GREAT that we are attracting high profile games--and so we should with the facilities and a great sized pitch.

On a different topic--I see that Obwingie--(??) MAY go to Palace--just how many strikers do they want--Murray,Philips
,Dobbie and others?? Strange. Hope OUR strikers can start living up to their name. Looking forward to Sat and a WIN!!!

Having been a regular as a lad at the Goldstone, I haven't followed the Albion in person since the late 70's, being more of a rugby fan.
However I was bought a ticket for the Watford game over Christmas. Unfortunately we lost that day but I was stunned by the stadium and how far the club has come since the days of groundsharing with Gillingham and existing at Withdean.
I loudly applaud all who had the vision and patience to bring the club to where it is now. Also huge respect to all the fans that continued to support come what may. Whilst still not an avid football fan I now have great pride in all that you've managed to achieve and create for the club and city.
Well done.

Very well said and glad you seen the great strides that BHA have taken

By the way do you know when the venues will be confirmed for the Rugby World Cup?

Amex is a perfect stadium both in location and quality (In my humble opinion)
UTA.................

As someone who still holds the club record for personally viewing consecutive home defeats 9 (nine) at Gillingham (we lost 7, I went to Barbados & missed a win & a draw we promptly lost 2 on my return) I welcome your comments and agree things have picked up since those desperate, relentless times!

I had no idea it was a fans' forum site.

So while I am here, it should be 'a fans' forum site' belonging to all the fans.

You have omitted a comma.
It should read "It's a great life, but as a teacher"
Your over usage of 'I', suggests you are in need of some further studying, in order to become proficient in your work.

There are other pedantic posters on here. You, they, and everyone else, further proving that it is not, and never will be, a perfect world.

Perhaps the Daily Mail website would cater for your correction needs.
