SAMI Hyypia believes Albion can make up for the loss of Leo Ulloa by sharing the goals around.

Hyypia now has Spanish newcomer Adrian Colunga, in-form Craig Mackail-Smith and summer signing Chris O’Grady as recognised strikers in his squad following the £8 million sale of Ulloa to Leicester.

There could still be a further addition before the transfer window shuts next Monday night but Hyypia is hopeful Albion are now approaching the stage where they have compensated for the departure of free-scoring target man Ulloa.

The Finn told The Argus: “I would hope that there would be many players that would score ten goals or more.

“We will see what happens, you never know in football, but we are working on getting more chances in each game.

“We have players that can score goals. When we get more than one player scoring more than ten goals then that’s a bonus for the side.

“That’s maybe the deciding factor of where we’re going to end up at the end of the season.”

Ex-Gatafe man Colunga could, depending on international clearance, be involved in the second round of the Capital One Cup at League One Swindon tonight together with former Barnsley playmaker Paddy McCourt, twice an unused sub since his move to Albion.

Defensive midfielder Nzuzi Toko is also in contention after missing out on the squad for Saturday’s victory over Bolton at the Amex due to a combination of the increased competition for places and his fitness catch-up following a pre-season knee injury.

Kemy Agustien is still sidelined by the twisted ankle he suffered at Leeds last week, while Solly March sees a specialist today about the back problem which has so far ruled out the England under 21 international.

Hyypia said: “I think this game will give us an option to give minutes to some of the players who haven’t played a lot recently.

“We need a good attitude, a good mentality, a good start. It’s very difficult to change your attitude during a game."
