Adrian Colunga has vowed to improve on his goalscoring debut for Albion.
But he admits he is off to a flying start in his new English adventure.
The former Getafe striker was on target at Swindon as the Seagulls squeezed through their Capital One Cup tie.
He reckons it will take time to know exactly what is expected of him on the pitch.
But he can’t wait to help Sami Hyypia’s men push for promotion.
Colunga told The Argus: “I don’t think I had a good game at Swindon. I can offer an awful lot more.
“But at the end you walk off with a goal, an assist and having won a penalty. You have to be happy.
“I can get in between the lines and create. I can play up front. I need to see what I can offer within the tactics we use.
“I’ve only had two days here and the tactical side is where I will maybe struggle to start with. But it will come with time.
“Physically I feel good and I’m really excited about the challenge.”
Colunga watched the Seagulls beat Bolton on Saturday and reckons they can aim for the Premier League.
The 29-year-old added: “I was playing in Spain in the first division but the interest Brighton showed in me, the challenge they were offering, convinced me to come.
“I’m delighted. I’m going to really make the most of it because I think we can do good things this season. The aim will be to win promotion.”
