Jake Forster-Caskey could earn a first under-21 start for England today.
The Albion midfielder is in the running to face Moldova in Tiraspol in a Euro qualifier (5pm BST).
Boss Gareth Southgate plans to make changes for the final fixture in a group England have already won.
Midfielders James Ward-Prowse and Nathaniel Chalobah are both out through suspension.
Southgate said: “I want to look at different players against Moldova.”
Forster-Caskey was an unused substitute as England won 1-0 in Lithuania on Friday.
He made his debut for the under-21s off the bench in Wales at the end of last season and has since played in the under-20 Toulon tournament.
