Albion could send more players out on loan, but not for long.

Vitalijs Maksimenko, Shamir Fenelon and Jeffrey Monakana have all been borrowed by other clubs already this season.

Other prospects such as England under-19s keeper Christian Walton are candidates as well now that the loan transfer window is open.

Boss Sami Hyypia told The Argus: “There’s possibilities out there, a few players who would go on loan. Some of the players are at that age where they need to play games.

“But I wouldn’t want to let them go on a long-term loan without a chance to call them back if we need them.

“I would like to still think a bit selfishly, to have a squad to cope with all these games. I am sure there will be one or two injuries in the future as well.

“Short-term loans would be good for both of us. Players will get games and that will improve them more than just training. We will get the benefit then when they come back. I can see that happening.”

Albion have six fixtures crammed into September, beginning at Brentford tomorrow.
