Albion’s unbeaten run ended in a hectic contest at Brentford today.

The Seagulls lost 3-2 at Griffin Park but could have grabbed a point after falling two goals down.

Lively attackers Moses Odubajo and Andre Gray sent the hosts into a 2-0 lead after a bright start from the Seagulls.

Gordon Greer’s 40th-minute drive got his side back into the contest.

And he had an even better finish ruled out on half-time for a foul away from the ball by Lewis Dunk.

Jonathan Douglas met a cross by Jake Bidwell, the left-back who also created Gray’s goal, to seemingly give Brentford breathing space after the break.

But Danny Holla’s brilliant curler into the top corner on the hour re-ignited the contest.

Joe Bennett fired Albion’s chance to level wide and David Stockdale, up for a corner, volleyed over in stoppage time.

Albion could have gone ahead after just three minutes when Andrew Crofts fired against the post.

But they were fortunate not to be playing with ten men from the 13th minute after Dunk escaped with a yellow card for a foul on the goalbound Gray.
