Jake Forster-Caskey believes Albion are on the verge of “getting it right” under Sami Hyypia.

The Seagulls head into today’s clash against Blackpool at the Amex seeking their first win in four games in the Championship.

They suffered a second successive defeat at Ipswich on Tuesday but Forster-Caskey is confident a turn in results is around the corner.

The England under-21 midfielder said: “I thought the last performance we were close to getting it right. We created chances, didn't finish them and got punished late on in the game.

“If you are creating chances you can always score. If we can take some of those chances and maybe we tighten up a little bit as a whole team defensively then I think we'll get the three points.

“I think we're close to getting it right but for one reason or another we have slipped up a little bit.”

Forster-Caskey is hoping not to face Andrea Orlandi, his Spanish team-mate from last season, who is expected to miss the game for Blackpool due to a foot injury.

“It will probably be better for Brighton if he doesn’t play,” Forster-Caskey said. “We all know he has got a lot of quality.

“He’s a great player and a really nice guy. When I was coming through he was a senior member of the squad and he always made everyone feel welcome.”
