Sami Hyypia is ready for a test of his side’s attacking ideas as they chase a knockout win tonight.

But he reckons they can beat Burton Albion in the Capital One Cup – and then hope for an exciting fourth-round draw.

The Seagulls face a tricky tie away to the League Two high-flyers who dumped out QPR in the last round.

And Hyypia believes that will mean a creative challenge for his side, who have not scored in the last three-and-a-half hours of playing time.

The Albion boss said: “I’m a little bit expecting they will try to defend very well and be very compact and then try to hit us on the counter.

“I don’t know if they approach this game like any other League Two game or if they will take account that they are playing a Championship side.

“They have some dangerous players up front.

“My reaction to the draw was quite neutral. If you want to win a cup competition you have to win every game, whether it is against Burton or Manchester City.

“If our attitude is right we can expect the next round and then maybe we can cheer if it’s an exciting draw.

“But we have a hard job in front of us and hopefully we do a professional job and go through.”

Hyypia, who made seven changes at Swindon in the second round, is set to roll the dice again at the Pirelli Stadium.

He said: “Of course this competition is an opportunity for one or two players who haven’t played that many games to get the 90 minutes or time on the field and show me they are ready to have more minutes in the league as well.

“I’ll take this game the same way.

“It’s not that I’m under-estimating Burton at all but it’s very important that we have a good squad and we use the squad players.

“We have a difficult game at the weekend as well.

“We will make some changes (tonight) and hopefully these players who come in do a good job for us.”
