Fed-up Albion fans voted with their feet at the Amex last night.
There were empty spaces around the stadium for the Sky-televised 1-0 defeat by fellow strugglers Millwall.
The official attendance of 24,085, including 889 Millwall supporters, was the third-lowest of the season.
The gate was 23,044 for Albion's only win in their last 17 league games against next-to-bottom Wigan on a Tuesday night in early November.
Last night's figure also narrowly eclipsed the 23,712 turnout for Cardiff's late September Tuesday evening visit.
