Joao Teixeira admits he could miss out in some of Albion’s Championship battles – because of the way he plays.
The Seagulls are keeping tabs on their Portuguese whizzkid after he missed their FA Cup tie against Arsenal through illness.
He dazzled with two goals as they beat Ipswich 3-2 at the Amex in their last league game but accepts he could miss out at times for tactical reasons.
Teixeira said: “It’s quite hard because my position is behind the striker, the No.10, try to create.
“But sometimes you have to prepare for games in a different way.
“There are strong teams physically who play the ball long all the time. It’s normal the manager has to change it and prepare in a different way.”
Albion aim to ease relegation concerns on Saturday away to a Blackpool side humbled 7-2 at Watford last time out. The Seasiders have taken four points from their last two home games, against Rotherham and Millwall, since crashing 6-1 to Bournemouth.
