Loan signing Emmanuel Ledesma could get longer to prove his worth to Albion.

The Argentinian right-winger has yet to kick a ball for the Seagulls since he was borrowed from Middlesbrough for a month.

Ledesma was an unused sub as Inigo Calderon scored twice against Birmingham last Saturday and was on target again against Leeds on Tuesday.

Manager Chris Hughton said: “Any frustrations he would have would be the same as anybody who is not playing.

“Calde’s form in the last two games has made it a little bit more difficult for Ledesma but this is part and parcel of the game.

“He would also see the form that Calde’s in, three goals in two games, but he is here for that period of time and it doesn’t mean he will only be here for a month. He’s here for an initial month and it might be one if we feel it’s right we’ll look to extend it.”

Albion have six more matches before Ledesma’s month ends with a trip to Blackburn Rovers.
