Emmanuel Ledesma’s Albion future is shrouded in uncertainty.

It is unclear whether his loan spell from Middlesbrough will be extended.

Ledesma’s initial month ends after Saturday's game at Blackburn Rovers.

The Argentinian right-winger has only started one match so far and continues to be kept out of the side by Inigo Calderon.

Manager Chris Hughton said: “We will make that decision over this week. He’ll certainly be disappointed he hasn’t had the amount of minutes he would have liked but he’s been good in the group and an option for me.

"It will be a combination of what we would like to do but also more importantly what he would like."

Greg Halford will deputise again in the centre of defence at Blackburn for Lewis Dunk, who completes a two-match ban.

The versatile Nottingham Forest loanee, preferred to Aaron Hughes, helped Albion to a clean sheet in Tuesday's 0-0 draw at Millwall.

Hughton said: "Greg has got experience. I took him (back from Forest) because the feeling was in his last period at the club when he played at centre-half he did quite well.

"At this stage of the season you want your experienced heads around."
