Mansfield are poised to extend the loan spell of Albion development winger Jeffrey Monakana, despite the cash-strapped League Two club's concerns about accomodation costs.
Mansfield manager Adam Murray said: "Because he comes from Brighton, the accommodation situation may be an issue.
"We are a bit further down the line. It's looking positive. We are hoping for some news in the next 48 hours."
Albion ask for a contribution to wages and for accomodation costs to be covered to ensure they are getting value for money when loaning out players.
Monakana has made two starts and four sub appearances since joining Mansfield last month. He came off the bench for Tuesday's 2-1 home win against AFC Wimbledon which continued their climb to 16th and almost certain safety.
