The Albion future of Emmanuel Ledesma will be decided in the next 48 hours.

The Argentinian right-winger’s initial month on loan from Middlesbrough ended with his second start in Saturday’s 1-0 win at Blackburn.

Ledesma was substituted in the second half and manager Chris Hughton is weighing up whether to try to get him back or look elsewhere before Thursday’s emergency loan transfer deadline.

Hughton said of Ledesma’s farewell performance: “I thought there were some good parts of his game.

“We have until Thursday to see what we want to do in the market, whether we keep him or bring somebody else in, so we’ll use the next couple of days to make those decisions. It’s a decision he will make as well.

Elliott Bennett, the top target for Albion in the January transfer window, has not played for next opponents Norwich since suffering a recurrence of hamstring trouble at the end of January.

Norwich’s Good Friday trip to the South Coast is followed by visits from two more of the automatic promotion contenders, Bournemouth and Watford.

Albion will approach them buoyed by their first away victory since January at Blackburn.

Hughton said: “They are the top teams and that’s no coincidence. They will be really tough games, different types of tests for us.

“It’s the best thing once you are going into the break to go into it on the back of a win. It’s a welcome break. When you have lost a game then you want the next game to come around fairly quickly.”
