SCOTS parents are setting their children up for a bright future by chatting to them.
A new study reveals they spend the most time talking with their children of any parents in the UK.
A total of 43% polled spent at least two hours talking to their families daily, while just 24% of people in London found the same amount of time.
Research by children's charity I CAN shows more than half of children in some parts of the UK start school without basic communication skills.
