MORE than £18million is to be spent transforming leisure facilities in a Scots district.
South Lanarkshire Council today confirmed plans for the massive spending spree.
The Clydesdale project includes a new £4m swimming pool for Lanark, with a gym, dance studio, sauna and steam room.
The town will also see £5m spent restoring the Memorial Hall to its former glory.
Carluke will get a new £8m community facility and a £1.4m upgrade to its leisure centre.
