RANGERS will meet English giants Chelsea at Ibrox this summer in a glamour pre-season friendly.
The current Premiership champions will face Walter Smith's side in Glasgow on Saturday, July 28.
England stalwarts John Terry and Frank Lampard plus world-class stars such as Didier Drogba, Andriy Shevchenko and Michael Ballack should all feature in what will be a final warm-up for Rangers' first Champions League qualifier on August 1 - assuming they secure second place in this season's SPL.
Chief Executive Martin Bain said: "Chelsea are always in high demand for pre-season games and will undoubtedly provide exciting opposition.
"Our players will also enjoy testing themselves against one of the best teams in England."
Rangers are still piecing together their pre-season itinerary. Smith has rejected various long haul offers and is likely to have the bulk of his pre-season training at Murray Park before friendlies in Europe.
