Sami Hyypia has vowed to stick to his principles following his Albion failure.
Hyypia did some soul-searching after quitting the Seagulls but decided he would not be changing his methods.
The former Liverpool legend said: “No I wouldn’t. I believe in my ideas. Of course, when things are not going your way, you start thinking about what’s going on, which kind of things you need to change.
“After I quit the club I had a period when I thought through what had happened and how I would do it different.
“But I came to that conclusion (not doing anything differently) because we had chances in every game, we conceded few chances per game and the percentage the opposition scored was very high.
“It was a great time for me, I worked with a great group of players. It was sad it ended like this but I’m ready to go again.”
Hyypia resigned in December, five months after taking charge, with Albion in the Championship relegation zone after one win in 18 games.
The ex-Bayer Leverkusen boss, speaking to Sky Sports, said: “From my time (in English football) at Liverpool I knew it is a tough league to have success in and I saw that managing Brighton.
“In the first games you could see the ball goes very quickly up front and you need to battle against tough guys up front and you need to win that battle first.
“Of course it was disappointing. We didn’t do that badly but we didn't get the results that matter.”
