Albion have made a move for Spanish goal-getter Sergi Enrich.

The Seagulls are one of SEVEN Championship clubs to have shown an interest in the Numancia star, whose contract expires at the end of the season.

Bolton are favourites to land the 25-year-old but his agent has also had talks with Albion and last night told The Argus: “No deals have been completed.”

Enrich is keen on a move to England and his 15 goals in the second-tier Liga Adelante this term – with five games still to go – have come at a rate of one every 182 minutes.

He was identified by The Argus three weeks ago as a player likely to attract interest from Championship clubs.

The former under-19 international is currently three goals behind former Seagulls striker David Rodriguez.

But ex-Albion midfielder David Lopez is among those who believe Enrich, who is 5ft 11in, is better suited than some of his more slightly built compatriots to the demands of the Championship.

Huddersfield, Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest are among those keen.

Enrich’s suitors include a club involved in the play-offs who will only pursue their interest should they fail to go up.

Albion also remain interested in Le Havre’s Mickael le Bihan, who was watched in action by Chris Hughton on Friday.

Le Bihan has options in his homeland and his agent has spoken to top-flight Nantes.
