Albion midfielder Beram Kayal is desperate to finish his season in style – in a make-or-break Euro 2016 qualifier.

The former Celtic star is hopeful he will be handed a chance in Israel’s midfield away to Bosnia as they seek to revive flagging qualification hopes.

But his best chance of seeing any action in tomorrow night’s clash in Sarajevo appears to be as a substitute.

Kayal was recalled to the squad in March thanks to his Albion form but did not get off the bench as Israel suffered costly home defeats to both Wales and Belgium.

He told The Argus: “I thought I would get the chance to play.

“I didn’t but we had two bad results.

“It was nice to be recalled to the squad, although when you are not playing you are always a little bit disappointed.

“But the national team is different. The manager came in with his ideas.”

CSKA Moscow star Bebras Nacho is likely to start in central midfield but Kayal, who proved such a hit in his opening months with the Seagulls, could feature at some stage.

Kayal and colleagues have spent the last few days at a training camp in Austria before moving on to Sarajevo.

His club colleague Jake Forster-Caskey in the running for more England under-21 action when they face Belarus at Barnsley tonight in their send-off fixture ahead of the European Championship finals in the Czech Republic.

Meanwhile Plymouth are likely to announce Derek Adams as their new boss today. Albion coach Nathan Jones was also believed to be a strong contender.
