Jake Forster-Caskey has been named in the starting line-up for England under-21s in tonight's do-or-die last group game against Italy in the Euro finals in the Czech Republic (7.45pm).
The Albion midfielder was an unused sub for the opening defeat by Portugal and Sunday's win against Sweden.
Forster-Caskey and his colleagues will make the Capital One Cup first round trip to promoted Southend United on Tuesday August 11 (7.45pm).
It will be the Seagulls' second game of the season after hosting Nottingham Forest in the Championship three days earlier.
